one day
In spring of 2005, Mark released his debut CD,
One Day. It featured his sister, Kate (Bowers) McLaurin on flute and
instrumental vocals, included atmospheric sounds like rain, thunder and birdsong,
and Mark's signature minimalistic piano and synth. It was well-received and has
been enjoyed by thousands of people around the world in the USA, the UK, Germany,
Australia, Jamaica, South Korea, Tanzania, Canada, and more.
Back when GarageBand.com (now iLike.com) was still in existence, track #1 Spirit's Call received over 40 favorable reviews, and awards for production, mood and instrumentation. Spirit's Call also remained at the top of the SoundClick.com New Age charts for more than 35 straight weeks, made it to the semi-finals of the 2005 International Songwriting Competition, was on the Indie Artists Alliance Compilation II CD, and was heard on 7 radio stations and 40+ internet radio stations around the world.
Not too shabby for a debut CD.
